John Deere Special Purpose HD Moly Grease is a heavy duty lithium complex grease with 3% molybdenum. Recommended for conditions of heavy shock loading, particularly on slow oscillating or reciprocating bearings and sliding surfaces. Applications include excavator pin, fifth wheel, ball joint, chassis, chain, cable, and conveyor lubrication.
It's metal adhesion properties provide extended lubrication, plus it has excellent pressure and anti-wear properties. It has excellent high temperature stability, with an operating range of -10 to 350°F (-23 to 177°C). It protects agains corrosion and oxidation, and is ideal for applications where pitting, scoring, and wear failures are a problem. Grease is dark gray in color and is rated NLGI grade 2.
