Shipping Policy
- At Hartville Hardware, we're committed to shipping your order safely, reliably, and in the most cost-effective way we can. Shipping rates are calculated based on the shipping destination, the weight of your order, and--often most significantly--the size of the package, as well as current carrier rates.
- In some cases, shipping costs may be higher than expected--even for items that are relatively light. That's often due to the packing materials and box size required to ship certain products safely and securely.
- Because shipping costs are determined in real time, we're sometimes able to offer free shipping on certain orders. This depends on a number of factors like box size, item weight, and current carrier rates. While not all orders qualify, we always aim to provide the most practical and affordable shipping option available.
Shipping Rates & Delivery
- Shipping is available only within the 48 contiguous United States. You'll see accurate shipping rates calculated at checkout based on what's in your cart and your shipping address. Most orders under $99 start at $8.95, though final shipping costs can vary depending on distance, weight, packaging dimensions, and current carrier rates.
- Most orders placed before 2:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, will ship the same day. This estimate excludes any delays caused by weather, payment processing, or carrier/vendor service disruptions.
- Standard delivery typically takes 5-7 business days from the ship date.
Oversized & Special Orders
- Large or High-Volume Orders: Orders containing oversized items or 10 or more products may be subject to additional shipping charges. If applicable, we'll contact you prior to shipment.
- Shipping Limitations: Some items are available for in-store pickup only. When this is the case, the shipping method will be visible but not selectable on the product page.
Special Exceptions
- Orders Over $1,000: Any order totaling $1,000 or more will require an adult signature upon delivery, regardless of any waiver on file with the carrier.
Buy Online, Pickup in Store
- We offer convenient, free in-store pickup at our Hartville, OH location:
- No shipping or processing fees
- Available on most items--see product pages for availability.
- Pickup in-store is available only at the Hartville location.
- Orders are usually ready within two hours, but some may take longer depending on item availability and order volume.
- Please wait to visit the store until you receive an email notification confirming your order is ready for pickup--we want to make sure everything is prepared and waiting for you.
- Items eligible for in-store pickup will have the "Store Pickup" option available on the product page. If an item is not available for pickup, the option may still appear but will not be selectable.
