The Makita 18V LXT® Cordless 2-Speed Reciprocating Saw features a Makita-built 2-speed BL™ Brushless motor that delivers 0-2,300 (Low) & 0-3,000 (High) strokes per minute and a 1-1/4" stroke length for faster cutting. To maximize productivity, it has an electric brake and a “tool-less” blade change system that enables faster blade installation and removal. In addition, the large, two-finger variable speed trigger allows operators to match speed to application and refined crank mechanisms minimizes blade deflection and reduces vibration. At only 17-1/4-inches long and weighing only 8.2-lbs (with battery, sold separately), this compact and ergonomically designed saw reduces operator fatigue during extended use. It also has rubberized soft grip handles for increased comfort and a reinforced fixed shoe for added durability. This tool is protected by Makita’s Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) which is a protective seal inside the tool that channels water and dust away from internal components. It is also equipped with Star Protection Computer Controls™ which protects the unit from overloading, over-discharging and over-heating. This tool is compatible with genuine Makita 18V Lithium-Ion Batteries with a Star symbol (sold separately). Batteries and chargers are sold separately.
