The proprietary hammer and anvil impact mechanisms are built for durability and maximum fastening and driving power. They are constructed using the best raw materials and highest quality steel and then follow a unique heat hardening process. Weighing only 3.9-lbs (with battery, sold separately), the long, ergonomically designed body is designed to reduce operator fatigue and provide optimal reach. In addition, the large paddle switch is covered with soft grip to increase comfort while the compact, 2-1/8-inch angle head height allows for use in tight spaces. Built in LED lights illuminate the surface while you work and the 1/4-inch hex chuck makes bit changes quick and easy.This tool is equipped with Star Protection Computer Controls™ which protects the unit from overloading, over-discharging and over-heating. This tool is compatible with genuine Makita 18V Lithium-Ion Batteries with a Star symbol (sold separately). Batteries and chargers are sold separately.
