Measure from the floor to the ceiling, the distance between walls, and from the corners to the trim of doors/windows. Mark the location of all electrical outlets, fixtures, ventilation, plumbing, gas, connections, etc.
Measure the doors and windows from outside casing to outside casing, as well as the height and distance of each from the floor, ceiling, and wall edges.
