Whiteside 2640 Laminate Trim Router Bit with Euro Square Bearing. This Laminate Trim router bit from Whiteside has a unique square bearing. Why a square bearing? With normal round bearings glue and residue from applied laminates build up on the bearing with every revolution. With a square bearing, that build-up is all but eliminated since the bearing stops spinning as soon as it touches the work. Then the flat side slides along the work piece edge. Plus, the bearing is made with non-stick Teflon, so the bearing won't mark your work, and any residue that does accumulate is easily cleaned off.
Bit is designed with a slight taper on the cutting diameter. This allows up and down adjustments to achieve an exact blend - even after re-sharpening. Carbide Tipped. 2 flute. This bit comes with a B3SQ (3/16" ID x 1/2" square) bearing. Whiteside Machine Company - Claremont, North Carolina.
