The 238XDPM Pro-PM Detail Gouge from Crown is shallow fluted, making it ideal for cutting coves and beads. The shallow flute permits a smoother cut and creates less vibration due to more metal being under the flute. About Crown Pro-PM Tools
The "elite" of Crown's turning tools, Pro-PM tools are made from an advanced Powder Metal (PM). The molten steel has been compressed and sintered to give them a cutting edge which lasts four-five times longer than conventional High Speed Steel (HSS) tools.
