Easy Wood Tools 1200 Ci1 Full-Size Rougher, Handled. Fitted with a replaceable carbide cutter, this wood turning tool addresses fatigue, safety, and efficiency like no other type of tool. It is designed to effortlessly hog away massive amounts of material for any wood turning process without the need for sharpening.
The tool design provides support directly beneath the cutting edge transferring the cutting pressure downward allowing the lathe to "take the pounding" that would normally be transmitted to you when using a conventional bowl gouge for roughing. No more "white knuckling" a bowl gouge.

- Because of the cutter shape and side relief of the blade the tool can cut left, right, or straight in without changing approach angle

Rougher has a 16" hard maple, Easy Grip handle with a 1/2" x 1/2" square stainless steel blade. Overall tool length is 25".
Includes a 5/8" x 5/8" 4" radius (R4) carbide cutter (#95311) as standard. An optional 5/8" x 5/8" square cutter (#95309) and a 2" radius (R2) cutter (#95313) are available separately.
