Sorby SOV-C06 Sovereign Collet Adapter, 1/4 in. Part of Robert Sorby's brilliant handle and interchangeable tool system that allows turners to mix and match a huge range of accessories and matching tooling for an extreme level of versatility, flexibility, and customization never before seen.< This adapter extends the range of un-handled tools the Sovereign system will accept to those with a 1/4" shank. Other optional adapter collets (3/8" and 1/2" - see note on sizing below) are available to further increase the range of tools the Sovereign handles will accept. England
Note: American-made tools are measured by bar diameter. European brands are measured by flute size. Therefore the 3/8" collet is designed for a European 1/4" gouge, and the 1/2" collet for a 3/8" gouge, while the 1/2" gouge will fit directly into the handle.
