Sorby 803H Box Hollower. A unique tool is specifically designed to hollow projects with straight sides and flat bottoms. It is ideal for turned boxes, but can also be used on larger projects like tall vases. The broad cutter facilitates the fast removal of waste wood. Safe to use because the 3/4" wide flat shaft all but eliminates the possibility of the tool rotating inside the work piece.
The cutter may also be slightly offset to present a different angle of approach. Cutter may be sharpened with a diamond stone or file. Box Hollower Set (#88903) includes Shaft and Handle and a Side / End Box Cutter (#88921).
The standard Sorby handle and shaft will also accept a variety of other cutters, including a Mini Round Nose (#88915), Rim (#88917), Side & Face (#88919), Mushroom (#88923), giving you multiple possibilities once you have the tool. Tool has a blade length of 5-1/2" and an overall length of approximately 18-1/2". England.
