The Makita 14" 75.6 cc MM4® 4-Stroke Engine Power Cutter set includes a socket wrench, a torx key, a screwdriver, an adapter ring (20mm to 1”), an oil bottle and a water supply kit. This innovative 4-stroke power cutter is the first of its kind and expands Makita’s line of concrete solutions. One advantage of this tool compared to 2-stroke machines is that oil mixing is not required. The MM4® 4-stroke engine eliminates the need for separate mixed oil/fuel cans therefore simplifying the operation process and reducing engine failures due to improper mixing. Pull-start force is reduced by 40% and the power cutter starts easier due to the automatic engine decompression valve being engineered into the cam gear. At only 92.7 dB(A), this cutter offers lower noise, smoother idle and it even offers lower fuel consumption (0.45 gallons/hour). The three-ring piston is engineered to improve commercial engine durability while the exhaust and intake carbon build-up is reduced for longer cylinder life. This tool also features a five-stage foam-paper-nylon filtration system with Advance Direction Air Flow that provides cleaner air for enhanced engine durability. The easy-access, pressure compensated carburetor has vented choke plates that offer ideal fuel delivery and reduces flooding during cold starts. For additional convenience, the tool features a single lever on/off choke operation switch, cushioned grips with 4 vibration-absorption rubber buffers, an oil level check, and an easily replaceable tank fuel filter. To cut directly adjacent to curb edges, walls or directly above the ground, the tool’s cutting arm easily adjusts from center position to flush (outboard) position. For long, straight cuts, the all-aluminum wheels minimize fatigue and retract when not in use to prevent unexpected movement. The specially treated rods, followers and valves extend the engine’s life while the sealed cartridge recoil starter rope reduces engine wear by keeping debris and dust out. In addition, the included water kit with quick release attachment is compatible with most common hose threads. This power cutter is ideal for landscapers, road construction crews, railroad crews, rescue crews, general steel contractors, masons and welders.
