The Robert Sorby RS200KT Multi-Tip Hollowing Tool has a massive half-round shank and interchangeable tips, which together offer the turner a wide variety of opportunities. With the proper tip installed, you can hollow, scrape, or run beads and coves.
The side/hollowing tip is good for initial hollowing and forming crisp angles. The round hollowing tip works well for making gentle curves, as in the bottom of a bowl.
The tear drop scraping tip is a multi-faceted scraper, with round, half-round, and square portions, that can be used on the inside or outside of a turning. The swiveling tip clamp allows for easy undercutting.
The robust half-round shank has a flat surface that gives total control during hollowing, and a round half that is ideal for use when shear scraping.
