Rust-Oleum Stop Clean Metal Primer prevents corrosion and stops rust. It is designed to be applied to clean or lightly rusted metal and steel. This formula is durable, corrosion resistant and bonds tightly to rust to form a surface top coats can adhere to. Primers like this one provide 2x more rust prevention than using enamels alone. In addition, the use of primers promotes topcoat adhesion while helping to prevent cracking, chipping and peeling. This clean metal primer is for indoor and outdoor applications but is not suitable for galvanized steel.
For best results, apply a top coat when fully dry.
