The Tormek Small Knife Holder Jig is designed to handle those really small knife blades, which up until now have been difficult to sharpen. Using it in tandem with the the Tormek #SVM-45 Knife Jig #19177, sold separately), you can now sharpen knives of different shapes for whittling, chip carving and detail work. Even folding pocket knives can be sharpened with perfect control.Normally these types of knives would have to be sharpened free-hand, making it a real challenge to get a consistent shape and almost impossible to control the edge angle. Because just the handle of the knife that is mounted in the SVM-00 holder, there is really no limit to how small a blade you can sharpen.The Holder Jig consists of a Guide Bar, a Handle Grip, and an Adjustable Clamp. The knife handle is fastened with the Knob. The holder is designed to securely hold the knife without damaging the handle.The Guide Bar of the holder Jig mounts in the jaws of the Tormek Knife Jig SVM-45 and sharpening proceeds using the same technique as for the Knife Jig. The exact edge angle is set by turning the Adjustable Stop or using the Micro Adjust on the Universal Support. Patent Pending. Sweden
