Sorby 809H Oval Skew, 1/2 in. The Oval Skew is a delicately balanced tool that is the "plane" of a turner's tool kit. Designed by Robert Sorby, the profile allows the tool to glide effortlessly along the tool rest without fear of the edges catching on the rest. It will smooth cylinders, clean the end grain of spindles, and cut shallow curves, beads, pummels, and v-cuts. Indispensable when a fine finish is required from the tool. 1/2" tool has a handle length of 10" and an overall length of 16-3/4". Ash handle. England
