This Battery Operated Carbon Monoxide Alarm from Kidde utilizes an electrochemical sensor to detect threats of hazardous carbon monoxide. Since carbon monoxide can’t be seen, smelled or tasted in the air, it is a leading cause of accidental poisoning deaths in America. This CO detector features a 2 AA battery operation with a slide-out battery door that gives immediate access to the batteries. An added safety feature makes it difficult to close the battery door without the batteries being installed. Plus, the inside cover of the battery door features a quick reference guide for what to do in case of an alarm. This easy to install alarm is ideal for all living areas of a house and has a 10-year life span.

Low Battery Hush – Silences low battery chip warning for up to 12 hours
Event Memory – If the unit has detected CO concentrations of 100ppm or greater, the green LED will flash every 10 seconds
Battery Operation – Offers reliable detection even during power outages
Reset/Test Button – Tests the CO alarm circuit operation and offers immediate silencing of the alarm
Two LEDs – Red illuminates in alarm mode while green illuminates when the AC power is present and the unit is operating normally
Alarm Pattern – 4 short beeps, followed by 5 seconds of silence, followed by 4 short beeps with a corresponding red LED flash. This cycle will continue for 4 minutes and then change to 1 cycle every minute until the device is reset or the CO is eliminated
