Crown 231XW Oversize Roughing Gouge 1-3/4 in. The length, width, and heft of this massive Roughing Gouge makes it absolutely ideal for roughing out the preliminary shape of big turning blanks. The traditionally hot forged 1-3/4" (44mm) wide blade is made from M2 High Speed Steel (HSS) and hardened to Rockwell 62-64. Tool is approximately 24" long overall with a 17-1/2" long stained Beech handle. Sheffield, England.
