A Cutting Gauge is used for making layouts across the grain, such as for cross cutting or marking dovetail depths. Made by Crown, this gauge slices fine lines for precision joints. A brass wedge holds the 1/4" wide, single bevel steel cutter in place. Gauge is made from extremely durable and sustainable stained bamboo, with brass fittings and wear plates. 8" overall length.
