Aprilaire Space-Gard Model 5000 Air Cleaner has a MERV 10 rating, is an original OEM Part, expandable "accordion" style replacement filters 501 for Furnace air filter. Aprilaire 501 filters are perfect for allergy suffers.
The Aprilaire 501 filter is a collapsed accordion and are expanded into a plastic frame inside the air cleaner cabinet. The filter snaps in the plastic frame and is held in place with existing pleat spacers. Assembly instructions are on the product packaging.
Specifications
The Aprilaire Space-Gard Model 5000 air cleaner can last from 6 months up to 2 years depending on use. If installed on a 5-ton system, in the presence of high concentration of particulate, or if the furnace fan is on continuously, it may be necessary to change the media more frequently. In any application, the life of the media depends on the total volume of air being moved through it as well as the amount of particulate it is filtering.
