The Makita Corded 3-1/4" Planer includes a blade gauge assembly, a wrench, a guide rule, a blade set and a tool case. The tool’s 6.5 AMP motor delivers 17,000 RPM for improved stock removal and finishing. This tool planes up to 3-1/4-inches wide and 3/32-inches deep in a single pass making it ideal for professional construction framing, window installation, door installation and fine wood working. For precise depth adjustment, the tool features a click depth adjustment knob with an easily visible scale with settings from 0-inches to 3/32-inches (0.1mm increments). In addition, the two-blade cutter head is equipped with double-edge carbide blades and an easy blade setting system for fast and easy installation. For enhanced durability and lower vibrations, the planer drum is balanced and the base is constructed from machined aluminum. Makita designed this planer to include an ergonomically centered balance, rubberized handles, lock-on button for on-going operation, and a lightweight design (5.7-lbs) to improve comfort and ease of use. In addition, the tool incorporates a spring-loaded stand that elevates the base, protecting the blades and work piece from being damaged. A high quality poly-v belt and the planer’s all-bearing construction enhance the durability of the tool, giving it a longer life.
