The impact-resistant outer case protects the interior electronics and the inner-liner is shock-absorbent, protecting the system against tough drops. When working on high-vibration applications, the battery’s sixteen contact terminals make sure there is a constant connection with the tool which helps prevent power loss or fluctuations in strength. The Makita 5.0 Ah batteries are front-runners in their category taking only 45 minutes to fully charge and they resist self-discharging which makes them ready for use even after long periods of storage. Protected by Makita Star Protection Computer Controls™, the batteries won’t overload or overheat and they are designed to deliver consistent power even in extreme temperatures (-4°F/-20°C).
