Product Description

Hold Fast A881 Dual Purpose Live Center with Pen Mandrel Locking System. This Live Center works like a dream as both a Standard Live Center and a Pen Turning Mandrel Stabilizer. The live center quickly converts to a pen mandrel locking and centering device by knocking out the tapered Cup Center and replacing it with the Quick Release Collet (both included). The Pen Mandrel Locking System provides the ultimate in ease of adjustment for mandrel length, centering, stabilizing, and locking.

The simple act of cranking the tailstock of your lathe tightens the collet - no wrenches required! When you're done the System releases just as easily. This positive locking system eliminates mandrel distortion, which results in a stable mandrel and superior pen turnings. The live center is hollow so, due to the design of the collet, you can adjust your mandrel to any length desired, without using extra spacers.

This all steel unit is machined to high tolerances and houses precision ball bearings for smooth turning and long service life. Making it even better yet, you get it at a great price, AND it's made in the USA!

Set Includes: Live Center with Bearing Housing and #2 Morse Taper; a Cup Center; a 1/4" Quick Release Pen Mandrel Collet; and Knock Out Bar. NOTE: Pen Mandrel not included.
