Weber 6-oz Griddle Seasoning Wax is the essential starting point for achieving peak performance with your griddle. This seasoning wax helps create a protective coating on your grilling surface, facilitating easy lifting of food. Its high-grade, high-smoke point formula ensures the development of a durable layer of seasoning, promoting optimal griddle performance for many meals to come. Crafted from a blend of grapeseed oil, canola oil, and antibacterial beeswax sourced from U.S. bee farms, this seasoning wax provides a smoother application, solid layer of seasoning, and leaves no sticky residue behind.

Instructions

1. Apply 1 teaspoon of Weber Griddle Seasoning Wax with a lint-free cotton cloth over the entire surface of the griddle – front to back, side to side, including the interior and exterior of any side walls. 2. Use a separate cloth to wipe off any excess seasoning wax so that the surface is evenly coated. 3. Turn the burners to high heat. The surface will begin to smoke and darken (approximately 10 minutes). 4. If any oil begins to bead on the surface, with grill mitts on, hold a paper towel with tongs to wipe the excess oil from the griddle. 5. When the surface stops smoking (approximately 20–30 additional minutes) turn off the heat to the griddle. Allow it to cool at least 30 minutes. 6. The griddle now has 1 coat of seasoning. Repeat steps 1–5, at least 2 more times to build your seasoning.
