Create beautiful, hand rubbed finishes on antiques, fine furniture or other interior bare wood surfaces with 100% Tung Oil from Old Masters. This oil delivers a durable, protective finish on wood surfaces that resists water and alcohol. It is also formulated to be absorbed into the wood which creates a long-lasting finish that won’t crack, chip or peel.
Application: All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free form dirt, grease, glue, wax and other contaminants. Apply with a lint-free cloth or by hand. Thinning with mineral spirits will improve application on large surfaces or when using in high humidity. This Tung Oil may be thinned up to one (1) part mineral spirits to one (1) part Tung Oil, but thinning beyond this ratio will result in noncompliance with VOC regulations. When the entire area has been coated, the excess oil can be wiped off with a soft, lint-free cloth. If a second coat is required, allow the first coat to dry before rubbing it down with 0000 steel wool. Do not apply more coats than the wood can absorb.
