TimberTech PRO-Tac™ Flashing and Joist Tape is a heavy-duty, flexible tape that extends the life of decking substructures. The butyl adhesive delivers advanced hold and secure bonds to joists that won’t peel off. This tape can be used in all weather conditions and is rated for use in temperatures from -70°F to 200°F. PRO-Tac™ Flashing and Joist Tape should be used to protect the top of joists before deck installation, as flashing for ledger board attachment to homes or to protect exposed or raw end-grain.
Application: 1.625” wide PRO-Tac™ Tape is typically used for single joists. It is best to apply it to clean, dry lumber. Apply the tape to the top of the joist or beam and use firm pressure (preferably with a hand roller) to ensure adequate adhesion. Try to avoid wrinkles or air bubbles during application.
