The Makita 40V XGT® Cordless 4?Speed Impact Driver Kit delivers the power to tackle even the most demanding driving applications in wood, masonry and metal. The impact driver features a powerful Makita-built brushless motor that delivers 1,950 in-lbs. of max. torque and (4) variable speed settings. Users will receive up to 50% faster speeds compared to the XDT16 Impact Driver and the smooth variable speed trigger offers maximum control in a variety of applications. The driver tool also has multiple digitally controlled modes: (2) tightening modes, (1) assist mode, (3) forward/reverse auto stop modes. The tightening mode (T-mode) enables faster tightening of self-drilling screws in thick or thin gauge metal and helps prevent work piece damage. The assist mode (A-mode) stops “screw cam-out” and “cross threading” by driving at lower speeds until the tightening process begins. The forward and reverse Auto-Stop modes enhance productivity by increasing efficiency. Additionally, the driver tool features a one-touch 4-speed selector button under the chuck for convenience. At just 4-3/4 inches long, this tool is ideal for reaching into tight, hard-to-reach spaces. The tool also has reinforced casing that delivers ultimate durability. Built with Makita’s Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) which is a protective seal inside the tool that channels water and dust away from internal components. The tools and batteries are also designed with XGT® which is internal technology that protects the equipment from overloading, over-discharging and overheating. The XGT® technology also optimizes performance to provide 2x more sustained power under heavy-load applications. The included XGT® Lithium-Ion 2.5 Ah Battery reaches a full charge in 28 minutes or less. In addition, it features rigid rails that create a secure hold between the battery to the tool which is ideal for heavy-duty applications. The included XGT® Rapid Charger features a dual fan that circulates air for faster charging, a digital display that indicates battery charge level, and a built-in chip for controlling the battery’s current, voltage and temperature.
