The 36V LXT® 14” Top Handle chainsaw features a Makita-built Outer Rotor BL™ Brushless Motor direct-drive system that provides comparable power and 25% faster cutting performance than a 30cc gas engine chainsaw. It has a variety of other benefits such as no gas maintenance, no emissions, no oil mixing, no pull starts and low noise levels. Paired with (2) 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion batteries (sold separately)this chainsaw delivers variable speed (0-3,940 FPM) while the torque boost mode delivers optimal performance when cutting thick or hard branches. For convenience, the chainsaw includes lateral chain tensioning with single stud for bar and chain retention while the captured bar nut is retained in the sprocket cover for maintenance. It also has a rubberized soft-grip top handle that allows users to apply cutting pressure more evenly. The chain features automatic lubrication and the large oil filing port has a view window that allows operators to easily add and check bar oil levels. Equipped with Star Protection Computer Controls™, this toolis protected from overloading, over-discharging and over-heating. It also features Makita’s Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) which is a protective seal inside the tool that channels water and dust away from internal components. The chainsaw is compatible with genuine Makita 18V lithium-ion batteries with start symbol (sold separately). Batteries and chargers are sold separately.
