Crown CARB1H Straight Probe with Carbide Cutter, Handled. Ideal for for turning boxes, goblets and small hollow forms, and is also useful for turning small bowls or platters. It has a 1/2" (12.7mm) diameter by 11.8" (300mm) long shank, with the last 3" (75mm) tapering to the cutting tip. This tapered shape is perfect for gaining access to more confined areas. Additionally, the shaft is made from high strength, high tensile T19 carbon steel, which is hardened for extra toughness.
The long lasting 0.31" (8mm) diameter cutting tip is made from fine grained Nano Technology Tungsten Carbide. Plus, the 360 degree cutting edge has the advantage of allowing you to simply loosen the screw and rotate it to a fresh edge when the old edge wears out. It is razor sharp from the get-go, so it will take a clean shaving and leave an exceptionally smooth surface, and for it's size it removes an amazing amount of material very quickly.
Probe includes one Carbide Cutter with Screw, and a Torx wrench. Stained black ash handle is approximately 12-1/2" long, and the tool has an overall length of approximately 22". England
