The Makita LXT® 18V Battery and Dual Port Charger Starter Pack includes (2) 5.0 Ah battery packs and a dual port charger. The batteries provide up to 65% more run time per charge when compared to BL1830 and they provide consistent power even in extreme temperatures (-4°F/-20°C). Their sixteen contact terminals ensure a consistent connection with the tool in order to prevent power loss or fluctuations in applications that create a lot of vibration. With the dual port charger, these 18V LXT® Batteries can be charged simultaneously and reach a full charge in approximately 45 minutes or less. The shock-absorbing inner lining and impact-resistant outer case are designed to withstand even the toughest of jobsites. In addition, the batteries feature an integrated LED battery charge indicator. Equipped with Star Protection Computer Controls™, these batteries are protected against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating while their built-in fan circulates and keeps the batteries cool for faster charging. The charger is also designed to optimize battery life by actively controlling the current, voltage and temperature. This kit is compatible with only Star Protection tools which are indicated by the Star Symbol™ and/or a yellow battery receiver under the tool. Makita 18V Li-Ion is the largest cordless tool line-up that is powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries.
