This Red Sheathing Tape from IPG is an aggressive, UV-resistant solvent acrylic based pressure-sensitive adhesive. It is combined with a UV stabilized polypropylene film that offers superior sealing, protective benefits and ease of use. This tape is primarily engineered for applications such as: permanent seaming and sealing of joints in foam insulation and other sheathing materials, securing lap edges in house wraps and other vapor barriers, repairing rips and tears in roll and batt insulation, construction films and membranes. In addition, it can be used to eliminate drafts around window and door openings. This sheathing tape has superior bonding at sub-zero temperatures (as low as -40°) and even elevated temperatures.
Application:
- This adhesive needs to be applied to surfaces that are dry and clean.
- Do NOT apply this tape to wet surfaces (facing or wood).
- May be hand or machine applied.
- Lap intersecting joined tapes a minimum of 50.8mm (2”). Tape should be centered over the joint or other area to be scaled.
