The porch and deck are designed as an outdoor oasis to spend time in nature without the hassle of cleaning and repairing. The design team selected each item for sustainability that lasts. The deck incorporates durable materials that resemble natural elements to add a modern twist.
Powder Coated Railing
The railing across the porch is powder coated for a solid black finish. The cable is also painted black, a unique addition that ties the whole railing together. The aluminum construction is durable, while the black color blends with the modern elements of the house.
Composite & PVC Decking
The design team selected composite planks for the back deck but PVC decking for the front porch. These materials, while different, serve the same purpose. They look like real wood with added durability that withstands dirt, mud, and weather for little to no maintenance. This combination of organic and modern imitates the overall style of the house.

The back deck is a cool space with planks made of a composite material that has a graining pattern like real wood, but is sustainable and long-lasting. We also used sustainable steel siding on the porch ceiling, and powder-coated aluminum railing with black cable that will last for years to come.

Low maintenance, long-lasting materials form most of the porch and back deck. The back deck is made from composite materials and the front deck is made from PVC which resembles wood with added durability. The steel porch ceiling mirrors the deck, with a cedar look that is sustainable. The selection of these elements allows longevity without sacrificing a natural aesthetic.
