The Makita 18V LXT® 1/2-Inch Cordless 2.0 Ah Driver-Drill features a BL™ Brushless motor that delivers variable speed (0-500 & 0-2,000 RPM) and 530-in/lbs. of max torque for a wide range of drilling and fastening applications. The BL™ brushless motor technology eliminates carbon brushes which allows the motor to run cooler and optimize battery energy for up to 50% longer run time per charge. In addition, it efficiently uses energy by automatically matching torque and RPM to the application when demand changes. The driver-drill is ergonomically designed to weigh only 3.4-lbs. and measure 6-3/4-inches long for reduced operator fatigue during extended use. In addition, the rubberized soft grip handle provides comfort while the dual LED lights illuminate the work surface and offer increased visibility and accuracy. The all metal 1/2-inch ratcheting chuck, gears and gear housing is constructed to improve bit gripping strength and jobsite durability. In addition, it is equipped with Makita’s Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) which is a protective seal inside the tool that channels water and dust away from internal components. Paired with the included 18V Compact Lithium-Ion 2.0 Ah battery (BL1820B), this tool provides up to 50% more run time compared to BL1815 and reaches a full charge in 25 minutes or less. The battery is also compatible with all 18V Makita LXT® Tools. The included Rapid Optimum Charger communicates with the built-in chip in the battery to optimize current, voltage and temperature. It also has a built-in fan that cools the battery when charging so that it charges faster and more efficiently. Makita offers category-leading charge times which gives more time back to your projects and less time on the charging stations. Equipped with Star Protection Computer Controls™, this tool kit is protected against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating. This tool is compatible with genuine Makita 18V LXT® batteries and chargers with a Star symbol.
