Who is Farm + Table?

We're Austin and Maggie Troyer--the heart and soul of Farm + Table. Around here we celebrate our humble beginnings. We're all-American kids turned first-generation farmers, and high school sweethearts now growing our dreams together as husband and wife. Our love for farming is rooted in a conviction to be wise stewards of all God has made. We believe He has entrusted us to cultivate His creation with integrity. We have a passion for sustainable agriculture, pasture-raised products and simple living. We care deeply about knowing where our food comes from, and we think everyone should have that same privilege.

In 2011, we were living and working on Ohio's largest cattle operation. After a few years of developing experience and passion, we decided to take a leap of faith in 2018--branching out to establish our own grass-fed cattle farm. We quickly realized our land and hearts were ready for more than cattle. Today we specialize in additional pasture-raised products such as poultry, pork and fresh-cut flowers.

Why Hartville Hardware?

We both grew up in the Hartville area and I remember going to the Hardware as a little kid with my parents. Even as adults running our own business, we find ourselves going back to Hartville Hardware. After we graduated high school, we moved to southern Ohio. When we were there, I remember going to the local hardware store and I was looking for a specific plumbing part for a pig-waterer. They looked at me like I was crazy and said "the only place I know you can find that part is Hartville Hardware". From that store to Hartville it was almost a 2 hour drive (91 miles) and people from southern Ohio were sending people to Hartville Hardware. Now we are located only an hour away, and I drive to Hartville Hardware and get what I need in one trip.

Every experience at Hartville Hardware is a positive one. You go in and the friendly staff knows exactly what they're talking about and they're very willing to listen to your needs and recommend what is going to be best for you. While building our house, we bought all of our appliances there. I know specifically we were in need of a heavy-duty washer and dryer for all of our farm clothes, and we got the best machines available. Everyone is so willing to help you, they carry the best products and they know exactly what they're talking about when they recommend something to you. They aren't trying to sell you on a product, they're trying to help you make the best decision.
