Woodpeckers DelVe Square, 6 in. Developed in collaboration with a skilled furniture-maker from North Carolina, the DelVe Square is an essential tool for precise joinery layout and machinery setup. Crafted from aircraft-grade aluminum, it is lightweight enough to carry comfortably in your shop apron without sacrificing durability. This versatile square is a reliable companion for layout, assembly, and installation tasks, featuring laser-engraved scales on the blade with an impressive accuracy of ±0.004" total accumulated error. The precisely machined scribing guides at 1/8" centers allow you to quickly and accurately strike lines parallel to the edge of your stock. The DelVe Square maintains exceptional squareness, held to Woodpeckers' stringent standard of ±0.0085 degrees. The design includes an offset base with 3/8" and 1/4" increments on either side of the blade, ideal for working with 3/4" stock. This allows for easy marking of 1/4" from both edges for mortises or tenons, or flipping to the 3/8" leg to quickly locate dead center. Its base wraps around your workpiece, enabling simultaneous marking of both face and edge. Beyond standard 45 and 90-degree edges, the DelVe Square’s hypotenuse is graduated in 1-degree increments on the 6" version, with additional markings for octagonal layouts at 22.5 and 67.5 degrees. For enhanced functionality, the Woodpeckers Stair Gauge (sold separately) can be paired with the DelVe Square to lock in any angle and make repeatable marks with ease. With the DelVe Square, you always have handy setup blocks at your fingertips. The base measures 1/4" thick and 3/4" wide, while the blade is 1/8" thick, providing versatile options for machinery setup, joinery layout, and other referencing tasks.
