Woodpeckers DelVe Square, 3.5 in. was developed in collaboration with a furniture-maker in North Carolina, making it an ideal tool for laying out joinery and setting up machinery with precision. Crafted from aircraft-grade aluminum, this square is lightweight enough to comfortably carry in your shop apron. Its versatility makes it a trusted companion for layout, assembly, and installation tasks. The blade features laser-engraved scales with an accuracy of ±0.004" total accumulated error, and precisely machined scribing guides spaced on 1/8" centers allow you to quickly and accurately mark lines parallel to the edge of your stock. The squareness is held to Woodpeckers’ stringent standard of ±0.0085 degrees. The DelVe Square offers a variety of reference points to simplify your project layout. Its base is offset with 3/8" and 1/4" on either side of the blade, perfectly suited for 3/4" stock. This design lets you easily mark 1/4" from both edges for mortises or tenons, or flip to the 3/8" leg to quickly find dead center. The base wraps around your workpiece, enabling you to mark both the face and edge simultaneously. Beyond just a square, it includes 45 and 90 degree edges, with angles graduated along the hypotenuse in 5° increments. Additional graduations at 22.5° and 67.5° assist with octagonal layouts. For even more precision, the Woodpeckers Stair Gauge (sold separately) pairs well with the DelVe Square to lock in any angle for repeatable marks. With the DelVe Square, you also have convenient set-up blocks at your fingertips. The base measures 1/4" thick and 3/4" wide, while the blade is 1/8" thick, providing versatile options for machinery set-up, joinery layout, or other referencing tasks.
