UJK Universal Groove Jig

UJK Universal Groove Jig is a beautifully engineered British-made tool designed to cut grooves, dadoes (through or stopped), and rectangular cutouts with exceptional accuracy and precision. This precision grooving jig is primarily intended for use with a UJK Progrip Clamp and is compatible with any suitable straight edge between 10mm and 16mm thick and 45mm to 55mm wide. The only additional equipment needed is a router fitted with a 30mm guide bush, such as the recommended model 101875. Once set up, the router and guide bush fit into the 30mm aperture, allowing smooth and precise cutting. The jig glides effortlessly along the clamp, which features two bearings on one side and a low friction plate on the other. A lockable adjusting screw eliminates any play between the jig and clamp for stable operation. A lens with a scale and crosshairs helps you position the jig precisely in relation to the Progrip clamp scale and your workpiece markings. For even greater accuracy, a vernier scale with a micro adjuster enables fine adjustments to 0.1mm. This allows for controlled second passes to widen grooves or shift cuts slightly if needed. When cutting apertures, the jig provides the same level of precision, allowing crosscut lengths up to 100mm and enabling all four sides to be cut in one go. Deeper cuts may require multiple passes.
