This precision extension features standard ER20 engineering collets that grip over a 1mm diameter range without sacrificing accuracy. It comes supplied with a 1/2" shank collet and is compatible with 8mm, 1/4" (6.35mm), and 1/8" (3.2mm) shanks, ensuring safer, more stable cuts with reduced vibration. The collet nut includes an ejection ring for quick and easy cutter changes, and the extension supports speeds up to 18,000 RPM. For optimal use, insert the collet extension at least two-thirds of the way in and up to the K line. It is recommended to start your router at the slowest speed, test the cutter setup on scrap timber, and gradually increase the speed while monitoring for vibration, reducing speed if any vibration occurs to achieve the best cut.
