Tormek SE-77 Advanced Square Edge Jig makes your plane irons and chisels sharper than when they were new. It is easy to set up and use, featuring micro adjust screws that compensate for tiny deviations in tool design. This jig allows you to slightly round off the corners of your edge to prevent scratches in the timber you’re planing. Compatible with both Tormek T-4 and T-8 models as well as older versions, it mounts firmly and sharpens safely. The tool is aligned along its flat top surface with a flat shoulder that ensures a correct 90° angle, distributing pressure evenly so the tool stays firmly in place without force. Simply check the sharpening angle, set the jig at the right height on the universal support, and start sharpening. The SE-77 includes a movable end adjusted by two small screws for fine tuning, which is especially useful for narrow, twisted, or non-parallel blades. This adjustment is quick and easy, ensuring maximum precision. Its design also accommodates conical chisels, such as some Japanese styles, keeping the tool safely positioned with stops that prevent slipping off the grinding wheel, protecting your fingers during sharpening.
