Southwire 12-3 Portable Submersible Hard Service Cord is a durable and flexible 12-3 SOOW cord designed for demanding environments where oil resistance and long service life are critical. This cord is perfect for wiring industrial equipment, motors, heavy tools, battery chargers, portable tools, welding leads, marine dockside power, power extension, and mining applications. It is also well-suited for temporary electrical power and lighting installations on construction sites. The cord can be used in both wet and dry locations with temperatures ranging from 40°F to 194°F, except in oil or coolant exposure where the maximum temperature is 140°F. It offers excellent resistance to heat, moisture, flame, ozone, and oil, featuring EPDM rubber insulation and three bare, flexible, stranded Class K copper conductors. These conductors are cabled with wax paper fillers and a tissue paper separator for easy jacket removal.
