Sorby TurnMaster w/Handle & #1, 2 & 3 TCC Cutters is the handled version of Sorby's versatile TurnMaster Tool, featuring all three primary tungsten carbide cutters: round, detail point, and square. This innovative wood turning tool combines three cutting-edge technologies in one, making it the most flexible and valuable single turning tool available today. The TurnMaster is designed to accept any of the three standard cutters as well as a wide range of other specially configured cutting tips. Its patented interchangeable cutter head locks into three positions, allowing for both fast material removal through scraping and fine finishing through shear scraping. The tool's round shank includes a flat underside for stability on the rest, secured by a high tensile strength torx screw to keep cutters tight, and it comes with a special key for quick cutter release. Cutters come in three materials—tungsten carbide (TC), high speed steel (HSS), and titanium nitride (TiN) coated Excelsior line—letting turners choose the perfect cutter for their project. Tungsten carbide is ideal for roughing and abrasive materials like high silica exotic woods, while high speed steel provides clean detail and fine finishing. The TiN-coated Excelsior tips offer the toughness and prolonged edge life of TiN with the same characteristics as plain HSS. Both HSS and TiN cutters can be resharpened for extended use. This set includes one each of the Round, Detail Point, and Square Tungsten Carbide cutters, a Cutter Release Key, Torx Wrenches, and an Instruction Sheet.
