Simpson Strong-Tie PPB66-4Z 6X6 Porch Post Base 4 In. Depth is engineered to simplify porch construction by eliminating the need for temporary vertical supports. This innovative porch post base supports permanent porch framing throughout all stages of construction, making scheduling easier for subcontractors and enhancing safety for installers and inspectors. During the porch roof framing stage, it is secured to the footing with two Titen Turbo™ masonry screws, allowing the concrete contractor to finish the porch slab without requiring temporary supports or additional visits from the framer after the concrete sets. The PPB66-4Z is strong enough to handle vertical construction loads before being embedded in concrete, providing reliable support for most framed porches and overhangs. Model Number: PPB66-4Z
