The hydrant includes an automatic drain feature that opens to prevent freezing, protecting it during cold winters. For added security, it has a tamper-proof lock that can be secured with a padlock or bolt through a hole in the link. Constructed with a cast iron head and handle, this yard hydrant has a 3/4-inch NPT inlet and a 1-inch galvanized steel pipe casting. The overall length is determined by the buried depth plus 24 inches, and it is finished with a polyester powder coating.
