This roof brace is ideal for chimneys that rise between 5 and 10 feet above the roof, where one brace kit should be installed at the midpoint. For chimneys taller than 10 feet, additional braces are recommended: one kit placed 4 feet from the roof and another every 5 feet thereafter. The kit includes the roof brace itself but does not include the chimney or the top.
