Safe Step 8300 50 Lb. Magnesium Chloride Ice Melt Pellets deliver maximum power to melt ice even in extremely cold temperatures. Made from 100% magnesium chloride hexahydrate, this ice melt works faster and more effectively while containing one-third less chlorides, making it safer for pets, people, and the environment. As the top performer in the Safe Step line, it offers professional strength melting power and can melt ice down to -15 degrees Fahrenheit (-26 degrees Celsius). Its unique ice-penetrating shape ensures rapid melting and excellent scatter control. This product is safer when used as directed on air-entrained, cold-weather concrete that is at least one year old and is less corrosive on metal surfaces. Additionally, water can be added to create a liquid ice melter for pre-treatment and dust control. Certified by the United States EPA Design for the Environment, Safe Step 8300 is an environmentally conscious choice.
