Milwaukee SDS-Max Core is designed for efficient drilling of large holes where the depth is relatively shallow. Milwaukee’s 1-piece carbide tipped core bits cut a kerf only, requiring the operator to remove the inside core before drilling deeper. For optimal use, a centering bit (48-20-5495, not included) is recommended, and the centering bit can be removed using the drift key 48-20-5497. These core bits are available with SDS Max or spline shanks and come in various diameters from 1-1/2 inches to 6 inches, with overall lengths of 11-3/8 inches or 22 inches and a drilling depth of 3 inches. The asymmetric tooth pitch with alternating tooth geometries enhances material pulverization for faster drilling. The 1-piece design maximizes energy transfer, while the thick wall core body ensures durability even in large hammers.
