Milwaukee 2-5/8Inx22In SDS Max Core Bit is designed for drilling large holes with relatively shallow depths. This one-piece carbide-tipped core bit cuts a kerf only, requiring the operator to remove the inside core before deeper drilling can continue. For optimal use, it is recommended to pair with the centering bit 48-20-5495 (sold separately) and use drift key 48-20-5497 to remove the centering bit from the core bit. Available in SDS Max or spline shanks, these core bits come in various diameters from 1-1/2 inches to 6 inches, with overall lengths of 11-3/8 inches or 22 inches and a drilling depth of 3 inches. The asymmetric tooth pitch with alternating tooth geometries enhances faster material pulverization. Its one-piece design maximizes energy transfer, while the thick wall core body ensures durability even when used with large hammers.
