The mirror-polished blades are hardened to an HRC of 59-61 along their entire length, providing exceptional cutting performance. Uniquely, the backs of the blades are polished, burnished, and lacquered black, which not only protects the blades but also offers a helpful visual guide for honing and sharpening. Factory sharpened to a professional standard, these tools can be honed further to suit personal preferences. The traditional octagon-shaped European hornbeam handles offer a secure grip from any angle, enhancing control during carving. Measuring approximately 9" to 12" in length depending on the blade type and width, each tool may have slight variations due to the hand forging process.
