Lacewood Pen Blank is known for its distinctive appearance, featuring a reddish brown color with grey or light brown rays that create a unique lace pattern when quartersawn. This striking flecking gives the wood its characteristic look, showcasing wide medullary rays that are most visible in endgrain cuts. The grain is typically straight, and the texture is fairly coarse and uneven due to the contrast between the regular wood tissue and the rays. Lacewood is relatively easy to work with, accepting glues, stains, and finishes well, although some care is needed during planing to avoid tearout. This pen blank offers both beauty and workability, making it an excellent choice for crafting elegant writing instruments. Model Number:
