Easy Wood Tools Ci2 Mid-Size Rougher - Handled

Easy Wood Tools Ci2 Mid-Size Rougher - Handled is a carbide cutter wood turning tool designed to reduce fatigue, enhance safety, and improve efficiency during wood turning projects. This tool effortlessly removes large amounts of material without the need for sharpening. Its unique design supports the cutting edge directly, transferring pressure downward to the lathe, which minimizes the strain on the user compared to conventional bowl gouges. The cutter shape and side relief allow for versatile cutting directions—left, right, or straight in—without changing the approach angle. With the ability to take deeper cuts of up to one inch in a single pass, the tool requires minimal physical effort, helping you maintain a steady stance throughout the roughing process. It also features reduced handle bouncing on irregular blanks and decreased kick-back or "sucking" into the workpiece. Safety is further enhanced by a chip deflector that keeps debris away from your face and neck. The Ci2 comes equipped with a 16-inch hard maple Easy Grip handle and a 3/8" x 3/8" square stainless steel blade, measuring 7 inches from the cutting tip to the handle tang, with an overall length of 23 inches. This high-quality tool is proudly made in the USA and includes a standard 7/16" x 7/16" square carbide cutter, with an optional 2" radius cutter available separately. It is also offered in an unhandled version for those who prefer to customize their tool setup. Model Number:
