Crown Revolution Cryo Bowl Gouge Blade, 1/4 in. Bowl gouges are the essential tool for general turning and shaping of bowls, platters, and other vessels. This 1/4" Crown high speed steel blade offers a remarkable advantage through cryogenic treatment, a process that super-cools the tool to enhance performance. Originally popularized for plane blades, this cryo technology has been applied to Crown's Cryo Bowl and Spindle Gouge blades, resulting in significantly improved wear resistance, longer tool life, and superior edge retention. The cryo treatment alters the crystalline molecular structure of the metal, giving the blade a better feel and durability during use. Designed specifically for Crown’s Revolution Turning System handles, it can also be used with other similar systems.
